In 2018, there was a unique single pocket discovery of the most spectacular aquamarines associated with deep red spessartine garnets. The pairing of these two species was not unique, but never before had they been found together with exceptional quality, size, color, and aesthetic arrangement.
Clear, sky-blue aquamarine crystals growing out of a mountain of dark red garnets, flowing over a white feldspar matrix are a rare pairing of color, crystal shapes, and textures.
This piece is part of an important discovery documented in The Mineralogical Record in November 2020.
