Pink Fluorite on Muscovite
Chumar Bakhoor, Nagar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
9 cm tall x 7 cm wide
Pink fluorites are quite scarce and desirable. The primary localities on earth are the Swiss Alps, Peru, Mongolia and
Pakistan. Each locality produces distinctly different variations of pink fluorite.
The interconnected octahedral crystals of transparent pink fluorite sit atop a matrix of thin gleaming transparent blades of muscovite. Each fluorite crystal face exhibits countless natural micro-facets creating bursts of flashing light.
