Wulfenite with Mimetite
San Francisco Mine, Cerro Prieto, Cucurpe, Cucurpe Municipality, Sonora, Mexico
9.3 cm wide x 9.3 cm tall
This Wulfenite is the epitome, the ultimate. It is universally referred to as the world's finest Wulfenite from any locality. Having large transparent yellow orange "window pane" crystals of wulfenite with sugary balls of orange mimetite, creating a tour-de-force of color and form that has never been duplicated. The San Francisco Mines fame comes from this spectacular assemblage. This singular example is the wulfenite that all others are measured against.
