Fluorite with Quartz
Yindu Mine, Keshiketeng Co.,
Chifeng Pref., Inner Mongolia, China
10.2 cm tall x 14 cm wide
This is a fluorite cluster featuring translucent/transparent cubic crystals of deep teal color with faint purple edges. The fluorites emerge from a rough, dark, and textured base with green chlorite included quartz crystals. The vibrant contrast between the smooth glassy luster, geometric shapes of the fluorite crystals, and the irregular form of the matrix highlights the natural beauty and complexity of mineral formations. The teal crystals catch and reflect light, giving the piece a dynamic and luminous quality. These past few years the Yindu Mine has put forth some of the most uniquely colored fluorites, incomparable to other localities.
